My name is David Cronin and I am the owner of FERROUSITY.
I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, where I received my BFA in Sculpture from the Massachusetts College of Art during the Summer of 2002.
The following year, I went on to graduate school at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI, where I received my MFA in Metalsmithing in May 2004.
My family and I relocated to Portland, Oregon in May 2006 and founded Ferrousity shortly thereafter. I have over 12 years of experience in working with metal and it is something that I am passionate about.
I have been working in the commercial and residential fields both in Boston and Portland for over 10 years and I have extensive knowledge regarding all structural commercial and residential code. I am able to provide perspective clients with a long list of satisfied past customers.
I love architectural fabrication because I am able to meld function and fine art, which allows me a creative outlet with the satisfaction of giving my customers something that will showcase their homes and blend perfectly with their aesthetic.
Ferrousity specializes in all things metal, including but not limited to: railings, gates, lighting structures, tables, chairs, structural support, spiral staircases and traditional staircases, ornamental blacksmithing and architectural accents.
Additionally, I work with a few of Portland's best contractors and artists and can easily incorporate wood, glass, and any other media that you envision being part of your design.
Ferrousity’s shop and all its products are fully insured and satisfaction is guaranteed. I provide my clients with detailed computer-aided-drafting (CAD) drawings and 3-D models so that I can work with you to make sure that I come up with a design that you can be truly excited about.
